Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India Presents a Memento to APARD Commissioner for presenting Best Training and Communication Action Plan.
Dr Phanikumar, Commissioner APARD has received an Award from Sri A.K Upadhyaya, Secretary Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sri BK Sinha, Secretary Ministry of Rural Development on 23rd July 2010 for his Presentation on the Training and Communication Strategy for reaching the target groups under various flagship programmes and people at large.
The Ministry of Rural Development in coordination with Ministry of I&B, Ministry of Panchayatiraj, Ministry of Youth Affairs has organized a two day thematic workshop on accelerating the Rural Development through Strengthening the Local Governance on 22nd and 23rd July 2010 at NCSA, Pusa, and New Delhi. The workshop was attended by Hon. Minister for I&B Smt Ambikasoni, Hon. Minister for RD and PR Shri PC Joshi, Ministers of State for RD Kum. Agatha Sangma and Shri Pradeep Jain.
The first day of the workshop was devoted to create awareness on various flagship programmes and the second day of the workshop was dedicated for training and communication strategy presentations. The participants of the workshop were divided in to 5 groups’ viz. Northern, Southern, Western, Eastern and Northe Eastern Groups. Dr Phanikumar, headed the southern Indian team comprising the Heads of SIRDs and other faculty members of SIRDs of Southern States and won the best presentation award.
A Primer on Social Audit and a Documentary film E-Muster were also released during the workshop.
